Reginox R1179 Basket plug

This original R1179 Reginox basket plug is suitable for various Reginox sinks. The Reginox R1179 basket plug works as a sieve and prevents food residue from entering the sink. By pushing the plug down, you completely close off the drain of the Franke sink and thus act as a stopper. This allows you to use the sink for hand washing. The Reginox R1179 basket plug is made of chrome-plated brass and therefore will not rust. The basket is round and shiny chrome in color. This Reginox R1179 basket plug comes complete with steel pin, sealing rubber and plastic ring. There is a black rubber ring around a gray plastic ring with this basket plug. The knob of the basket plug must be ribbed and there must be 4 dots on the underside of the plastic ring.
This Reginox R1179 basket plug is now also called the R17111 drain OKG.

If the basket plug sinks into the sink and does not stay up, you will need a new basket plug. The ball will then probably have fallen out of the pin.

Features:

On the top of the basket plug, the knob should have small serrations. On the bottom of the basket plug, the plastic should have 4 round dots on it.
The side of the steel basket is folded over.

Note: Basket plugs cannot be returned.

Many basket plugs look similar, but every brand and type number has different dimensions. Because many customers guess and incur unnecessary costs for us and the customer, basket plugs cannot be returned. Not even if the plug is still in its packaging. Therefore, make sure you order the correct type number. What can you do to be sure which basket plug you need?

Maintaining Reginox R1179 basket plug

The Reginox R1179 sink plug can be cleaned by putting it in the dishwasher to get all the debris off the basket strainer. For stubborn tea stains, you can use a special stainless steel cleaner such as; non-aggressive detergents, dish soap and all-purpose cleaner are a great alternative. Use an abrasive sponge (not a pan sponge!) for this purpose. With this you can clean the plug well and get rid of grease and caked-on residue. After this, use a microfiber cloth to polish the basket nicely. If the basket plug rubber of the Reginox R1179 basket plug sink plug is broken, unfortunately there is no loose rubber for this. You will then need a completely new basket plug.
