This gas spring is often used in kitchen hatchcases and in flap systems which sit in front of the microwave (sliding upwards)

We recommend if the cabinet now has a 320N gas spring to mount again. If a heavier one is fitted, the cabinet will open more easily and close more difficultly. This puts more force on the mounting. The pressure/force (N) has nothing to do with how long a gas spring lasts. If the valve has been given a heavier grip you can always go 1 step higher.
