This gas spring is often used in flap cabinets of kitchens and in flap systems that sit in front of the microwave (sliding upwards). We recommend that if the cabinet now has a 200N gas spring installed, to install another 200N gas spring. If a heavier gas spring is fitted, the cabinet will open more easily and close more difficultly. This puts more force on the mounting. The pressure/force (N) has nothing to do with how long a gas spring lasts. If the valve has been given a heavier grip you can always go 1 step higher.
