How the Combi Quooker system works

Quooker We are often asked how a Quooker with combi tank works.

What is a Combi Quooker?

A Combi Quooker has a large reservoir where cold water is heated to 110ºC.
Through a mixing valve boiling and cold water is mixed to hot water.

The mixing valve can be adjusted so that you can add more boiling water in order to obtain hot water from your tap.
1. Cold tap water flows through your inlet combination into the reservoir.

2. Water is boiled in the reservoir to 110ºC water. Through high pressure, this temperature is reached so the water is sterile. With the Hitac water filter which is in the Quooker reservoir, the water is filtered and the chlorine taste and fine bumps in the water are purified.

3.With the boiling water coming from the boiling-water tap, the water is 100ºC and thus ideal for tea or disinfecting products.

4. The mixing valve mixes the boiling water with cold water so that you get (nice) hot water from your mixer tap.

The Combi Quooker reservoir has a capacity of 7 liters.
This means that you can get 7 liters of boiling water from this faucet. For hot water that you can get out of the reservoir you come to about 27 liters at a temperature of 40ºC. If you want warmer water from the tap then it is 15 liters at 60ºC, after this the Combi Quooker takes about 20 minutes to fully heat up again.

If you do not want to be without hot water then you can consider a Combi+ Quooker, this is supplied with water from the central heating boiler.
